Today, the Business Ecosystems & Reporting team includes 4 experts: a Data Analyst, a Digital Delivery Manager, a Data Engineer Reporting, and an Application Project Specialist. Together, they ensure the maintenance and evolution of business applications and their interconnections.
To support the major transformation of our application ecosystem in 2026, we are looking for a Digital Solution Engineer.
You role:
✔️ Design and develop modern, robust, and high-performing web applications, focusing on back-end while ensuring an intuitive front-end experience.
✔️ Contribute to the application roadmap and lead the deployment of new features (testing, implementation, post-deployment follow-up).
✔️ Integrate and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases and APIs, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
✔️ Participate in functional and technical design phases and propose technology choices.
✔️ Ensure corrective and evolutionary maintenance of existing applications and act as a back-up for the Digital Delivery Manager.
✔️ Train and support end-users while producing the necessary technical and functional documentation.
✔️ Report directly to the Head of Business Ecosystems & Reporting.
What does Bauer Media expect from you?
💪 A first proven back-end development experience, with solid front-end skills.
💪 Proficiency in a modern back-end language (Java, .NET, Node.js, Python) and a front-end framework (React, Angular, Vue).
💪 Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, APIs, and cloud/DevOps environments (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
💪 Awareness of security, performance, and code quality best practices.
💪 Experience in application support and maintenance.
💪 Autonomy, ownership, rigor, and analytical mindset.
💪 Ability to collaborate with both business and technical teams and communicate effectively in English and French or Dutch.
💪 Curious, results-driven, and always up-to-date with new technologies.
